Toshiba Computer Systems Division renews its multi million dollar contract with Orbit Showtime as the exclusive broadcast sponsor of the English Premier League’s 2009/2010 season in the Middle East.
Toshiba’s sponsorship for the Premier Football league has strategically supported the brand’s presence in the region.
“Sponsoring the Premiership last year was a great success; and our continued commitment to the most exciting and widely covered sporting competition in the world will benefit both brands over the coming season,” says Santosh Varghese, Regional General Manager, Computer Systems Division, Toshiba Gulf.
“Our association with Orbit Showtime allows us to connect in a powerful and emotive way, not only with our consumer audience but also with our channel partners across all of our markets in the GCC,” continued Varghese.
The internationally acclaimed Toshiba animated robot character will once again return to wow audiences in the 19th season.
“The sponsorship has greatly aided in targeting customer affinity with Toshiba, thus increasing brand visibility among our partners across the entire region,” added Varghese.
Marc-Antoine d’Halluin, President and CEO of Orbit Showtime has expressed his pleasure of Toshiba being the sole On Air sponsor of the event for the second consecutive year by saying: “We are proud to be associated with Toshiba for another successful season of the Barclays Premier League showing exclusively on the recently merged Orbit Showtime Pay TV Platform. The merger doubles the audience for both Toshiba and the Barclays Premier League and thus doubling the performance and satisfaction for Toshiba. Our coverage of the Barclays Premier League has been first rate and we are committed to providing an even better coverage for the 2009/2010 season”.
