Etisalat Launches ‘Summer Promotions’ For Travelers

Etisalat announced its special ‘Summer Promotions’ for the UAE’s Nationals and residents as they start to travel abroad for their holidays. Through the promo, customers can enjoy tremendous value while they keep in touch with their friends, families and work using Etisalat’s data and voice roaming services.
Following last year’s success and in response to customer demand, Etisalat has once again introduced attractive roaming data and voice packs. These packs offer customers up to 78% discount on incoming voice calls, up to 31% discount on outgoing voice calls and more than 50% discount on mobile data usage while roaming. They also feature the UAE’s first-of-its-kind service that allows customers to check the balance of minutes and data on their packs while traveling overseas. In addition, Etisalat will send its customers free SMS alerts upon reaching their package usage limit, allowing them to repurchase if required.
Also of particular note in the Summer Promotions, is the new entry level of the BlackBerry roaming plans. Commenting on the ground-breaking offers, Matthew Willsher, Chief Marketing Officer at Etisalat said: “By pricing roaming offers at AED99 and AED149, Etisalat is entering new markets. The new price level makes it affordable for all travelers, including students in the UAE to stay connected with friends and family while on holiday. Furthermore, when they purchase any of Etisalat’s BlackBerry plans, they can enjoy unlimited access on specific services, thereby eliminating bill shock due to excess data usage while roaming. Activation of these packages is as simple as sending an SMS, which makes it easy to switch to any of Etisalat’s plans this summer.”
Etisalat’s roaming offers provide customers with attractive roaming plans on the region’s widest roaming network partnership with over 630 networks for voice and 520 roaming partners for data, across 190 countries globally.

1. Ground-breaking offers on Unlimited BlackBerry Global Packages throughout Summer
Etisalat’s BlackBerry prepaid and postpaid customers traveling abroad this summer can choose from heavily discounted unlimited BlackBerry Global Social package at as low as AED 99/month or unlimited BlackBerry Global Email package at AED 149/month. The offer is valid till 30 September, allowing BlackBerry Global Social Package customers to constantly stay in touch with their family, friends and business. BlackBerry Global Social package customers can enjoy unlimited access to social messaging and social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter, BlackBerry Messenger, Windows Messengers and more. Customers subscribing to BlackBerry Global Email package can additionally enjoy access to their emails while traveling.
Both BlackBerry prepaid and postpaid customers can subscribe to the BlackBerry Global Social package by simply sending an SMS – ‘GS99 ‘ to 1010 and ‘GE149 ‘ to 1010 for BlackBerry Global Email package. Alternatively, they can visit any of Etisalat’s Business Centers or outlets across the UAE or call ‘101’. 2. Up to 78% Discount on Incoming Calls during International Roaming
Travelers can now receive their incoming voice calls abroad in more than 190 countries globally, with more than 630 operators, at a discount of up to 78%. Etisalat Wasel prepaid and postpaid customers have the flexibility to subscribe to any one of the three packs that is best suited to their travel needs and destinations. The first pack offers customers 30 minutes for AED 60, the second pack offers 100 minutes for AED 150 and the third pack offers 200 minutes for AED 200. These pack are valid for a month from the date of activation and pack costs include all applicable taxes and operator charges. It also offer customers for the first time in the UAE, the option to repurchase any pack one month after the purchase date or after exhausting their inclusive minutes within the validity period.
Customers can purchase any of the incoming roaming packs from within or outside the UAE by dialing *177# or by sending their desired SMS purchase code to 1010. SMS purchase codes can be obtained from the website www.etisalat.ae/summeroffers. Customers can also sign up for the service by calling ‘8002300’ or by visiting any of the business centers or outlets across the UAE. The discounted incoming roaming pack options are valid all year round.
3. Savings up to 31% on Outgoing Call Roaming Packs
This promo offers both Wasel prepaid and postpaid customers savings of up to 31% on outgoing voice calls made to the UAE while traveling abroad. Travelers can choose one of the two packs for making outgoing calls: 10 minutes for AED 55 while traveling to Arab countries (except Gulf countries) and AED 90 for rest of the world; or 30 minutes for AED 145 while roaming in Arab countries (except Gulf countries) and AED 250 for rest of the world. Customers can repurchase any of these packs after one month of the previous purchase date.
This promotion lasts until end of September. Any outgoing calls roaming pack can be purchased from within or outside the UAE by simply dialing *177# or by sending their desired SMS purchase code to ‘1010’. Customers can also sign up for the service by calling ‘8002300’ or by visiting any of the business centers or outlets across the country.
4. Over 50% Discount on Data Usage while Roaming
Etisalat also offers Wasel prepaid and postpaid customers more than 50% savings on mobile data usage while traveling overseas this summer. Customers can purchase the available Global Daily Data Roaming pack by simply dialing *177# or sending an SMS - ‘R DG’ to 1010 from the UAE or abroad.
