Business Leaders From Top Global Industries Attended du’s 3rd Customer Advisory Board

du’s 3rd Customer Advisory Board (CAB), held at Mina A'Salam, Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, was attended by top business leaders from various spheres of industry, and proved to be a huge success.
The event featured interactive discussions and received positive feedback from both the CAB members and du senior management team. Amongst the topics discussed were views shared on the unique telecommunications needs for the hospitality sector and du’s contribution to the field, presented by an executive from the Jumeirah Group.
The forum also welcomed new members from diverse industries who were specifically nominated to be members of the Board, based on their wealth of experience, depth of insight and thought leadership. The new members are Samer Abu Ltaif, General Manager, Microsoft Gulf; Ben George, Executive Director & CFO, Mohebi Logistics; Shibu Charley, CIO, Nestle Middle East; Fady Sleiman, CIO, GE Corporate (MEA); Sultan Al Hajji, Vice President, Total; and Ben Grib, Managing Director, Group 4 Securicor Security.
Outlining the purpose of the Board, du’s CEO, Osman Sultan, welcomed the attendees and said, “Our goal is to create a better customer experience by listening to what our customers have to say. The Customer Advisory Board allows us to interact with and hear from our customers directly. It is evolving into an industry forum that facilitates knowledge exchange and sharing of best practice across industries, benefiting all participating members.”
du’s extensive managed services platform and capabilities in security and risk management were showcased through detailed discussions on ‘Managed Security as a Service’. The discussions highlighted du’s ISO27001-certified centralized security and risk management, which offers competitive end-to-end security management capabilities across the entire ICT landscape, supporting enterprise vertical industries. Summing up the 3rd CAB forum, Sultan said, “All the themes discussed today are fundamental and we will strive to develop and improve in accordance with our customers’ needs. These are evident in our enterprise offerings, which are constantly customised to exceed customer expectations.”
The Customary Advisory Board concept, a first of its kind in the region, under the umbrella of the du Leadership Series, aims to bring together a select group of industry leaders from top enterprises across all industry verticals on a quarterly basis. It sets a new platform for the industry in this region. During these forums, du discusses industry trends, business priorities and strategic direction. It also listens directly to the voice of the customer in a bid to work in union across all industries. du is fostering innovation and leadership through a process of discussion and participation, which will contribute to the shaping of the telecom industry in the future, not just in the UAE but across the region. Through this initiative, du intends to connect and engage with their customers in an entirely revolutionary and proactive way.
