Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 To Offer Arabic Support

Published Aug 9, 2011

Game distributor LS2-Pluto (Pluto) will launch Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 this September. This is the eleventh version of the game, and the first to be localised with Arabic support.

The inclusion of Arabic support is expected to further the game's popularity in the Middle East. The demo will also support Arabic and will roll out the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, Wii, Xbox 360 and PC.

Naji Robehmed, Director of Gaming - Business, Pluto said, "The localisation of Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 into Arabic highlights KONAMI & Pluto's commitment to gamers in the Middle East and furthermore, the importance of the region to the industry's gaming developers. Regional players are sure to be impressed with their gaming experience on playing the upcoming edition, both as a result of Arabic localisation and the enhancement of several key features."

Jon Murphy, European PES Team Leader for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH, speaking on some of the enhancements said, "Teammate control is something we have been working on for a while now, and we are delighted that it will make its debut in PES 2012. We have been working to create a control system that truly lets the player do whatever they like on field, and the ability to manually control a second player while simultaneously running with the ball opens all kinds of attacking options. Coupled with the active AI advancements that ensure supporting players shuttle, run and find space, and I think we have made a huge step towards producing the most advanced football title to date."

The game will feature a challenge training mode which consists of dribbling tests and challenges that ask you to hit a series of targets and a variety of shooting tasks. The game is said to have been aesthetically improved too and the overall movements of the players are said to be more fluid with animations segueing into each other effortlessly.

Localising games for the Middle East with Arabic support is a growing trend in the gaming world. EA Sports' FIFA '12 will also support Arabic and will be available worldwide on 30th September 2011.
