Google To Launch TV Service In Europe Next Year

Published Aug 28, 2011

Eric Schmidt, Executive Chairman of Google, has announced that the largest search engine is set to launch its TV service in Europe early next year, Reuters has reported. The new service allows viewers to mix Web and television content on a TV screen via a browser. Last October, Google TV was launched in the United States but received mixed reviews and was swiftly blocked by three of the top US broadcast networks.
