du Awarded ISO 9001-2008 Certification For Its Network Development Programme

du has been awarded a further accolade after receiving a ISO 9001-2008 certification for the Quality Management System, developed as part of its Network Development programme. The major milestone achievement is a testament to du’s continued efforts to improve upon customer experience by incorporating the latest technologies into their extensive network.

ISO 9001-2008 is the world’s most widely used standard for quality management systems. du received the certificate from David Cowie, Managing Director, DQS LLC in an official ceremony at the telecom’s headquarters. Accepting on behalf of du was Yatinder Mahajan, Chief Technology Officer, Hatem Bamatraf, Senior Vice President, Network Development and Operations, du, and Hanadi Ayoub, Vice President, Network Architecture & Delivery, du.

“Receiving an ISO 9001-2008 certificate for our Network Development programme’s Quality Management System is a true quantification of the efforts to which we go to, in order to provide the highest level of technological and experiential services for our customers,” said Hatem Bamatraf, Senior Vice President, Network Development and Operations, du. “We are dedicated to constantly improving upon our network, which reflects directly on our customers’ experience. Our Process Development and Governance Team has put their utmost dedication into achieving this success, and their hard work has most certainly paid off.”

“This certification marks a landmark achievement in du’s Network Development,” commented David Cowie, Managing Director, DQS LLC. “ISO 9001-2008 accreditation establishes that the Quality Management System created by du is a valuable addition to the telecom’s Network Development programme, giving them a competitive advantage in the UAE’s telecommunications market.”

The Quality Management System was developed and implemented by du as part of the ongoing Network Development (ND) efforts to enhance technology delivery and overall customer experience. It incorporates both strategic business processes and core processes for ND activities, proving greater visibility on the roles and accountabilities of individual functions within the programme.
