Published Oct 10, 2011

Reichle & De Massari (R&M, www.rdm.com), the Swiss structured cabling specialist is participating in GITEX Technology Week held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center October 9-13. R&M is exhibiting at stand C2-30. This years’ participation by R&M marks at least a decade of appearances for the company at GITEX and confirms its continuing focus on the Middle East market.

At GITEX, R&M unveils its new to the market Single Circuit Management (SCM) product family, part of R&M’s breakthrough FTTx portfolio of modular and customizable fiber optic solutions. The SCM optimizes FTTx network performance by managing fibers and subscriber connections normally. It is optimal for next generation networks in central offices, data centers, and FTTx architectures for Public Networks and new residential compounds.

Jean Pierre Labry, Managing Director, R&M Middle East and Africa commented by saying, “As the leading IT event in the region, GITEX certainly is key to our success, giving us a chance to feature our latest solutions and interact with current and future customers.”

To complement its FTTx solution range, the Swiss cabling specialist will be showcasing their latest innovations like CAT 6A and the 48 port 1U High Density patch panel that’s helps data centers to gain valuable space. The new HD panel packs 48 RJ45 ports into a single compact unit in the 19’’ rack, translating into less room used up for cabling and a larger number of active components fitting into the cabinet.

For more than 12 years in the Middle East and Africa, R&M has been working by the belief of investing in the region for the region. R&M achieves this by offering first level support for its MEA partners and customers in many areas. The company recently opened their new supply chain HUB in the Dubai Airport Free zone, speeding product delivery to the region as well as project engineering support by bringing Swiss experts closer to customers.

R&M also emphasizes education and awareness through training/consultancy in which they regularly offer seminars and training through its Qualified Partner Program (QPP) and its IT academy. The company has also developed a website for MEA and an Arabic catalog to support its regional marketing.

"Our objective is not to move a Box, but to sell Convincing Cabling Solutions in the region. This overall philosophy and our achievements have made us one of the strongest IT international manufacturers in the region,” concluded Labry.

Supported by local offices in Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, R&M designs customized solutions to meet the region's specific needs by offering copper and fiber cabling solutions for several industry verticals including petrochemical, public networks (telecom carriers), building, industrial enterprises, transportation, finance, sports(stadiums), defense, and healthcare.
