HP Retains Top PC Spot

According to data from both IDC and Gartner, HP has maintained its top position in the PC market, followed by Lenovo which continues to gain momentum in a slowing demand environment, ZDnet has reported. HP's global market share was 17.7% in the third quarter based on Gartner data, while IDC put the market share at 18.1%. In the third quarter, PC shipments were up 3.2% from a year ago, according to Gartner.
