RIM Weighs Decision On Operator Compensation In Middle East

Sandeep Saihgal, Middle East managing director of Research in Motion (RIM), has not yet decided whether it will compensate telecoms carriers for a network outage that left tens of millions of BlackBerry users without mobile e-mail and messaging, Reuters has reported. "That is a discussion that is ongoing," said Saihgal, when asked if the company would compensate telecoms operators. "Our prime focus has been on consumers."
