Acer Presents The Allegro Smartphone

Published Nov 13, 2011
Slim, stylish and in tune with the latest trends, the Acer Allegro is inspired by how people communicate and live in the most modern settings. With its unique user interface, complete with Live Tiles, Windows Phone puts people front and center, making it easier to connect and share with friends, family and colleagues so important moments are never missed. With the most recent version of Windows Phone, code-named Mango, Live Tiles are more interactive, enabling users to get real-time information without having to open them, by pinning them to the Start screen.

On the market in EMEA from November, and available in Midnight Blue and Pearl White, the Allegro is chic-looking and features ergonomically designed curves that fit just right in the palm of your hand. The comfort enhances your hold on net surfing, making calls, gaming and everything else. The generously-sized 3.6" WVGA display is nice and bright, so it's crystal clear on the go.

Daily smartphone use involves a myriad of apps running simultaneously, plus gaming and multimedia enjoyment. So, the Allegro packs a powerful 1 GHz processor and speedy 14.4 Mbps HSDPA downloading for ultra-smooth use. A 5 MP camera captures it all in high-definition stills and 720p video, and a whopping 8 GB of storage keeps lots on hand for sharing with friends.

The Allegro delivers a fast, beautiful web experience with Internet Explorer© 9, and quickly searches the web and surfaces hyper-local results with Bing™ Local Scout.

Instant access to Marketplace is handy for trying, buying and searching for apps and games on the go. Marketplace features the hottest Xbox Live titles and add-ons for games, providing an avenue for socializing with gaming friends and foes, anytime, anywhere, all from your Windows Phone. An Xbox Live avatar and profile are integrated into Windows Phone's Games Hub to help keep track of scores and achievements.

Handling documents while mobile is easy with the Allegro because integrated Office Mobile enables smart viewing, editing, sharing and syncing. The Allegro also excels at organization with a calendar that syncs information from the phone, email and Facebook, and notes important business and social events.
