Microsoft Gulf Honours Students From Institute Of Judicial Training & Studies For Commitment To International Property Rights Protection

Published Nov 20, 2011

Microsoft Gulf has honoured students from the UAE Ministry of Justice’s Institute of Training and Judicial Studies for successfully completing a training program on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). The educational campaign is expected to generate greater awareness on IPR for the benefit of youth and the advancement of a truly digital society.

Chancellor Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Al Kamali, Director-General of the Institute, said: “The positive results of our recent training initiative reflect the effectiveness of our partnership with Microsoft Gulf on the enhancement of IPR awareness and protection through our educational curriculum. We commend our trainees for showing a strong commitment to IPR protection and in-depth scientific research in this field. Their enthusiasm complements the Institute’s goal of developing our trainees’ knowledge and capabilities.”

“We admire the achievements of these students who support our goal of encouraging the new generation to become adept at protecting IPR and combating software piracy. Our collaboration with the Institute of Judicial Training and Studies will enlighten the future workforce and creative people on the dangers of compromising IPR, which can negatively affect the future ambitions, innovations and scientific achievements of the Arab world. This educational campaign appropriately focused on intellectual, scientific and technological development, all of which are foundations for achieving national growth,” added Jawad Al Redha, Head of Government Interface for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Small and Mid Market Solutions and Partners (SMS&P) Business Development.
