Etisalat And Nokia Celebrate The Holy Month Of Ramadan With Special Mobile Internet Offer

Etisalat and Nokia announced a joint promotion, providing a seamless experience to their customers, to enjoy the free Ramadan applications from Nokia during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

With the purchase of any of the featured Nokia devices, customers will get 1GB data package free for two months from Etisalat.

The free data package will enable the customers to download the free Ramadan applications directly to their devices without paying for the Internet downloads.

This year’s Ramadan applications can be accessed and downloaded from Nokia’s Ovi Store.

Users can launch Ovi Store from the Download! folder on the main menu on their Nokia device or access nokia.com/Ramadan on the PC.

“Etisalat's robust 3G network and crystal clear voice clarity complements technologically advanced devices from Nokia to provide a truly unparalleled mobile internet experience to our customers. With the two months free 1GB data package that we are offering with Nokia during Ramadan, our aim is to enable users to explore the full Internet experience from downloading applications, to video streaming, to email and browsing, on these fantastic devices, ”said Mr. Khalifa Al Shamsi, Acting Chief Marketing Officer, Etisalat

The free Ramadan applications from Nokia for 2009 include the Holy Quran, Prayer Times, Hadeeth, Zakah Calculator, Mozzaker, Hajj and Umrah and Cards in addition to new features like Quran recitation from multiple recitors, which users can choose to download, based on their preference and in MP3 format, and Prayer timings and Qibla direction for 1000 cities in 200 countries, along with the ability to add, remove, update and edit any location using the GPS.

Also, the new Zakah Calculator helps Muslims calculate Zakah based on their income.

After the two month period, customers can keep the existing 1GB data Package subscription or change the subscription to one of the other Etisalat Data Packages based on their requirements and usage needs.
