Cyberoam Announces Formal Launch Of Netgenie Wireless Routers At Partner Event In The Middle East

Published Dec 26, 2011

Cyberoam, the network security provider announced the formal launch of the first-of-its-kind product ‘NetGenie’ wireless routers with in-built security for the retail market in Dubai at a partner event. Since the announcement of NetGenie earlier this year, Cyberoam’s NetGenie has gained tremendous inroads within the trade based on the specific concerns it addresses faced by parents and small-office home office (SOHO) owners regarding internet usage at their homes and office premises. NetGenie is now available at stores across the Middle East.

The event was attended by Elitecore CEO, Hemal Patel, while Abhilash Sonawane, Sr. VP, Product Development, Cyberoam, made a presentation on how NetGenie delivers best-in-class security delivers both home and SOHO users with new, efficient and innovative internet environments.

Rohit Mathur, Business Unit Manager, FDC International, Cyberoam’s distributors in the Middle East, said, “Cyberoam NetGenie will boost our resellers by allowing them to serve their customers better and increase profits by catering to the needs of the ever growing SOHO and home users. Cyberoam’s innovative product and market strategy meets the unique demands of a broad range of market segments.” He added, “Now, at the click of a mouse, users have the powers to decide how much internet freedom they want to provide different users in their network while ensuring comprehensive protection from internet threats, including viruses, intruders and hackers to all computing devices in the network like desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones and more.”

Speaking on the market need for a solution like NetGenie in small offices and homes in the Middle East, Hemal Patel, CEO, Elitecore, added, “There is concern among Small Office owners about employees visiting unproductive websites and applications and the lack of keeping a tab on their online activities. And given the current threat scenario with blended threats and social engineering techniques targeting users to carry out the actual attacks, NetGenie offers comprehensive safety with internet controls and single-click internet restriction levels along with real-time reporting on online activities of the network. NetGenie is an easy plug-n-play solution with a vibrant and colourful user-interface.”

NetGenie’s user-wise internet activity reports addresses the discomfort of most parents who need to physically monitor kids’ internet activities, eliminating the need to intrude kids’ internet sessions.

The product will be available across the globe through Cyberoam partners and going forward at retail outlets in different countries. For more information, visit www.netgenie.net.
