Skype Mulls HQ In Bahrain

Internet phone software pioneer Skype has begun negotiations to set up its Middle East headquarters in Bahrain.

Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) chairman Dr Mohammed Al Amer revealed the Luxembourg based company had already contacted the watchdog about operating in the kingdom.

'Their interest is serious and negotiations are ongoing,' he told a Press conference at the Ritz Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa.
