Dubai eGovernment Shares Electronic Systems Implementation Experience With Visiting RAK Civil Service Department Delegation

Dubai eGovernment shared its pioneering experiences in the implementation of electronic systems to automate key governance processes with a visiting delegation from Ras Al Khaimah’s Civil Service Department (CSD). During the visit, the RAK contingent was able to get a more in-depth look and understanding of Dubai eGovernment’s eSuggest and eComplain Systems and the Government Resources Planning System (GRPs), the latter being developed and implemented in association with the General Secretariat of the Dubai Executive Council to help streamline the complaints and suggestions made by employees and customers.
Leading the RAK delegation was Badriya Ali Mazrui, Acting Deputy Director, CSD and was joined by Maryam Rashid Alwan Al Habsi, Acting Director of Audit and Control; Aisha Isa Rashid Al Nuaimi, Director of Performance Management and Programs; Firas Osama Siam, IT Specialist and Moza Ali Al Mazrui, Studies and Statistics Specialist. They were received by Wissam Lootah, Assistant Director-General, Dubai eGovernment, along with senior officials that included Huda Al Hashimi, Director of GRP Systems Department; Hamza Hamarneh, Manager of HR Systems Section; Abdul Nasser Ahli, Manager of Strategic Sectors, and other members of the host team.
The RAK delegation was given a presentation on GRP systems which includes financial, supply, HR, payroll; project, credit, property & asset management, and self-service systems which demonstrated how such automation processes have helped departments save time and effort; and use resources in the most optimal manner. The delegation was then briefed on the eSuggest and eComplaint System, demonstrating the different stages of development that each submitted suggestion and complaint proposal go through and the significant role it plays in the development of institutional performance and quality improvement.
Wissam Lootah, Dubai eGovernment, expressed his delight in meeting the RAK delegation, which allowed a strategic opportunity to share Dubai eGovernment‘s experience in adopting and implementing the three new electronic systems. Lootah further pointed out that these new systems reflect the continuing efforts to meet the goals set by Dubai 2015 Strategic Plan, which aims at achieving full government automation and integration, enhance sustainable development and consolidate the Emirate’s position in the global map.
Huda Al Hashimi, Dubai eGovernment, said, “We hope that the presentation given to the RAK delegation will provide them a better understanding of these electronic systems, which are based on best practices and global standards to help deal with customers effectively and efficiently. We sincerely hope this visit will enhance cooperation and communication between both sides, thereby contributing to driving in more excellence and leadership in the UAE.”
Badriya Ali Mazrui, CSD, said, “We would like to thank Dubai eGovernment for warmly receiving us for this visit. As a result of this endeavor, we have learned a lot from the department’s successful experience in implementing these new electronic systems and the important role it plays in the move towards e-transformation in the UAE. We hope to continue cooperating with them and contribute in advancing the UAE to become a knowledge based society."
Dubai eGovernment’s implementation of the GRPs and the eSuggest and eComplain System falls in line with the directive of the Dubai Government to enhancing and improving the level of government performance while at the same time stirring in more economic and social development for the UAE. The move also aims at consolidating Dubai eGovernment’s strong commitment towards effectively using IT solutions and resources for the provision of government services via multiple electronic channels.
