5th Bayt.com Virtual Job Fair Proves A Success With UAE Employers And Jobseekers

Published Feb 14, 2012

Bayt.com, the Middle East’s number on job site, has once again held a successful virtual job fair (VJF) for the UAE, with 17,000 registered jobseekers from 102 different countries taking part in the online event. It took place between Feb 5 - 9, 2012 and about 200 vacancies were open for application.

The Virtual Job Fair allowed jobseekers and employers the opportunity to interact though the flexible medium of an online platform, giving access to traditional job fair facilities but with the added convenience of being able to attend from anywhere within the world. Over just five days, the VJF was visited over 100,000 times.

“Bayt.com’s Virtual Job Fairs have proved successful in the past, and we are very pleased with the results of our latest VJF for the UAE. The response has been phenomenal, proving that this is the way to go for the recruitment industry; employers and jobseekers alike want to be able to seek the ideal candidate and position with the minimum of fuss,” said Suhail Masri, VP Sales, Bayt.com. “At Bayt.com, we are committed to assisting all those in the employment field, whether jobseekers or employers, to find the ideal solution for their needs. This is our 5th VJF in the region, and we look forward to many more to come. The statistics of this one demonstrate the geographical diversity that the easy to use platform is capable of attracting.”

The Bayt.com VJF presents a unique concept; jobseekers are able to fully interact with potential employers through a virtual environment, styled to look like a real job fair. Using a range of digital tools, such as chat rooms, webcasts and webinars, jobseekers and employers can exchange information. Jobseekers can search available jobs and can submit their CVs, while employers can interact through virtual ‘booths’ where they can share presentations, reports, and information about their companies.

The next Virtual Job Fair will take place in Qatar in April. Candidates will be able to apply for jobs 24/7, at their own convenience.

Participating employers benefit from increased brand awareness, and access to Bayt.com’s extensive portfolio of jobseekers – made up over more than 7 million registered users covering 94 industries and 185 countries. There are minimal resource requirements in return for maximum exposure, meaning less costs and a higher return on investment than with a traditional job fair.
