EMPA names Nicholas Argyrides as new Managing Director

EMPA Middle East FZCO, one of the prominent regional IT distributors in the Middle East and North Africa regions, today announced that Nicholas Argyrides has been appointed as Managing Director - effective 12th February, 2012.
Mr. Argyrides brings a decade of significant experience and achievements within the field of IT distribution in the Middle East. Under his new role, he will be directing EMPA’s business strategy as well as spearheading the firm’s overall operations across the region.
In announcing the appointment, EMPA’s CEO Mr. Houssam Mobied stated ”The appointment of Nicholas is proof of our commitment for investment into growth and progression. The demonstrated record and innovative attitude of our new Managing Director along with the company’s long-standing foundations and appetite for excellence have now been brought together; we can already feel the positive impact. Mr. Argyrides obtained his BScBA degree from the University of Arizona upon completing his double-major studies in Marketing & Entrepreneurship. He also holds an MBA degree from London Business School. After briefly working for a bio-tech corporation in Arizona, USA he moved to Cyprus in 2002 and, shortly after, launched his career with IT distributor Logicom Public Ltd in a number of positions and geographies – the last one being the General Manager of Logicom Dubai.
