Epson Launches Affordable Projectors With High-End Features Targeted At Egypt’s Education And Business Segment

Published Feb 29, 2012

Epson, worldwide leader in the video projector market , has announced the Egypt launch of a new range of affordable projectors packed with features usually only found on more expensive models. While the EB-X11 and EB-S11 models are aimed at education users, the EB-S01, EB-S12, EB-X14G and EB-S02 are ideal for business use. All offer user-friendly functions and a high-quality picture.

Designed specifically for use with computers, the 2,500-lumen EB-S01 is easy for office users to set up, and needs only one cable for visuals, audio and page up/down control. This is thanks to Epson’s convenient 3-in-1 USB display feature, which removes the need for users to struggle with connecting multiple cables between the projector and their computer.

The 2,800-lumen EB-S12 will be of particular interest to businesses on a budget wanting a high-quality SVGA projector with an affordable price tag, as it offers high-end features such as PC-free presenting and Epson’s new horizontal keystone slider.

Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, Epson Middle East, says: “This new range of projectors is a perfect example of how Epson values user experience. This range features the horizontal keystone slider that we developed, which is a simple and intuitive way to control the shape of the projection. Even when the projector is at an angle to the screen, it takes just seconds to correct the picture alignment thanks to the slider. User-friendly features like this offer Epson customers in Egypt more for their money, as it is very rare for a projector in this price range to have both vertical and horizontal keystone correction.”

A selection of the projectors feature a direct connection to the Epson ELP-DC06 USB Visualiser. The ELP-DC06 allows documents and objects to be shared via the projector, saving users time by eliminating the need to photocopy, photograph or scan materials. It is also particularly useful for education users wanting to show science experiments close-up.

Epson’s 3LCD technology delivers natural, accurate colour reproduction and an equally high White and Colour Light Output of up to 3,000 lumens. Combined with the 3,000:1 contrast ratio producing sharp detail, the result is a bright, high-quality picture. Moreover, a long lamp life of up to 5,000 hours in eco mode helps cut maintenance time and keeps running costs low.
