This year, Kaspersky Lab will showcase its products at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany, under the theme of “Continuous Protection from Home to Work - Be Ready for What’s Next”. At the company’s booth (Booth C65 in Hall 12), the IT security experts will work with their distribution partners to provide information on Kaspersky Lab’s current product portfolio and the latest trends in IT threats - for both companies and for home users. Kaspersky Lab will, for the first time, also have its own booth in Planet Reseller. This will be Booth H36 in Hall 14. The company will also present its new and revised security solutions, Kaspersky Security for Virtualization, Kaspersky Security 8.0 for SharePoint Server and Kaspersky Hosted Security.
One of the events at the company’s main booth in Hall 12 will be the presentation of Kaspersky Lab security solutions with live demos. For corporate users, the company will focus on its newly released solutions, Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows, Kaspersky Security Center 9 and the revised Kaspersky Hosted Security, which will be presented to a wider audience for the first time. Two new products, Kaspersky Security for Virtualization and Kaspersky Security 8.0 for SharePoint Server, will also be showcased. Kaspersky Security for Virtualization protects virtual machines running under VMware. With the release of Kaspersky Security 8.0 for SharePoint Server, the company now offers the latest protection technologies for customers who use Microsoft’s SharePoint platform for collaboration and file storage. In addition, the product supports effective implementation of internal communication policies as well as content storage policies by introducing appropriate content filtering.
One of the highlights for home users will be the new Kaspersky ONE Universal Security suite, a cross-platform solution which protects smartphones, Macs and tablets in addition to desktops. The Kaspersky Lab booth can also be visited as part of the daily guided tours.
Partners and Distributors in Focus
In Hall 12, Kaspersky Lab will be supported by its partners Bücker EDV-Beratung, CyProtect AG, ED Computer, Ewicom, Helmich IT-Security GmbH, IFS, Jo-Soft and Software One. In Hall 14, the IT security experts will be partnered by distributors 8Soft, Ectacom and Wick Hill, and will showcase their new partner program, which was launched in January with the theme “Mit Sicherheit Ihr Partner” [“Your Partner in Security”]. “We are very excited to be involved in Planet Reseller for the first time,” says Walter Jäger, General Manager at Kaspersky Lab DACH. “This will enable us and our distributors to contact specific partners and interested resellers and to provide targeted information to them. Our presence in Hall 14 will allow us to hold discussions in a peaceful setting.”

Media Events
The major hacker attacks on companies and public authorities over the past year have shown that the Internet is being increasingly abused by cybercriminals for targeted attacks. At the press breakfast (Tuesday, 6 March, 10:00 am) Eugene Kaspersky, CEO and co-founder of Kaspersky Lab, will present his views on why the IT security industry, international authorities, national governments and companies should join forces to focus on cyber security. In addition, Ilijana Vavan, Executive Vice President Kaspersky Lab Europe, will provide an update on the status quo and on the company’s future plans. The press conference will be held in English in the Saal Berlin (Berlin Room) on the ground floor of the Convention Center.
Also on Tuesday, 6 March, from 11:30 am onwards, Kaspersky Lab will hold a press conference in the same room (Saal Berlin (Berlin Room), Convention Center) to present its new corporate solution, Kaspersky Security for Virtualization.
As is traditional on the second day of the trade fair, Kaspersky Lab will hold its Analysts’ Roundtable. This year, Kaspersky Lab experts Magnus Kalkuhl, Marco Preuß, Christian Funk, Vicente Diaz and David Emm will discuss current and future IT threats for corporations and personal users. The discussion will take place at 10:00 am on Wednesday, 7 March. The discussion will center on the topics of mobile threats, targeted attacks and the cyber economy (the value of personal data, or its price on the cybercriminals’ black market). The roundtable will take place in the Saal Bonn 2 (Bonn Room 2) of the Convention Center and will be held in English.
