EMC Shared Cloud Transformation Insights with QITCOM Delegates

EMC Corporation participated in the second Qatar ICT Conference and Exhibition (QITCOM) which was held between the 5th and 7th of March 2012 at Qatar National Convention Center in Doha, Qatar. This leading event attracted leading IT organizations to showcase their products and services and provides a unique platform for IT professionals in the country to learn and network alongside key stakeholders to develop and advance ICT in the region.
During the 3 day exhibition, EMC representatives showcased new ways of building, operating, and consuming IT to help customers cope with the explosive growth of information to reduce capital and operational costs, and help them increase business agility.
On the opening day of QITCOM, Hatem Elmohandes, Senior Technology Consultant, EMC Qatar, led a workshop entitled “Your Cloud Transformation – Challenges & Lessons Learned”. The workshop focused on showcasing EMC’s IT strategy and transformation services combining innovative strategies with a pragmatic approach to maximize organizations’ IT delivery effectiveness and cost efficiency.
He also presented the attributes of cloud technologies: simplicity, flexibility, cost effectiveness and agility and highlighted how cloud allows IT to be delivered as a service, both internally and externally.
According to EMC, cloud computing is not an overnight change. It’s a transformation in a journey that is required for organizations to evolve their IT organizations with the market needs and dynamics.
