We live in a day and age when technological developments happen in a blink of an eye, and how. We were pleasantly surprised when we recently reviewed Creative’s WP-450 Bluetooth headphone. Gone are the days when you needed to carry a pair of headphones for music and a headset for hands-free phone calls.
With the Creative WP-450 with "invisible mic", we are convinced that one can enjoy the best of both worlds with excellent audio quality thrown in. It features precise Neodymium drivers meticulously tuned by Creative’s acoustic experts, and is crafted to produce accurate and dynamic sound.
The built-in invisible microphone with WP-450’s ClearSpeech Engine™ suppresses external noise and digitally enhances speech clarity, allowing you to chat clearly over your mobile phone, even under noisy and windy conditions. When you're done talking, you can resume listening to your favorite tunes automatically. And because it has Bluetooth connectivity with apt-X, it delivers high-fidelity wireless audio from compatible Bluetooth devices, while keeping your hands free to do everything else!
Innovation flows abundantly into the design of the WP-450 as well. The durable metal-hinge design allows the WP-450’s headband to be folded into a compact package for travel and storage.
Expectedly, the headphone works with all compatible Bluetooth mobile audio devices such as music phones, iPhone, iPod, iPad or computers, and it allows streaming of high quality content wirelessly from up to 10 meters or 33 feet. It also delivers a faster transmission with negligible delay - virtually eliminating ‘lip-sync’ issues when using WP-450 to watch fast-action movies or gaming.
Having a stronger magnetic flux to weight ratio, the powerful Neodymium magnet driver of the WP-450 together with an ultra-lightweight diaphragm responds and delivers sound efficiently in a life-like manner, which gave us a vivid and engaging listening experience.
Right from its ergonomically placed call and playback controls, choice of high quality built material and even the ideal control timings, the WP-450 has left nothing to chance, ensuring a perfect usage experience. Take for instance the intuitive call, playback and volume controls on the right earcup that are easily accessible for making adjustments on-the-fly.
Of course the headphone has a lightweight on-ear design and has a soft leatherette ear padding that allows for comfortable use, even in extended marathon listening or chatting sessions. And as you would expect from a product like this, it can be easily charged from computers with an USB port, while a helpful LED and audible indicators alert listeners when the headphones are in need of a recharge. It takes just about an hour for full charge, which is enough to last you 8 more hours.
