Injazat Eases Adoption Fears at IDC’s Cloud Computing & Datacenter Roadshow 2012

Published May 7, 2012

Cloud computing is widely regarded as the next big trend in enterprise IT. However, many organizations remain hesitant to adopt the technology, arguing that it is still in its nascent stages. Industry experts counter that the value proposition of doing business on the cloud is too substantial to ignore and is the right direction to take to ensure strong and sustained IT-enabled corporate growth.

Injazat Data Systems discussed how the movement towards cloud computing should be accelerated across the region during the 2012 IDC Cloud Computing and Datacenter Roadshow that took place today (May 7, 2012) at the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai.

In a presentation titled ‘Cloud Computing: Is It as Scary as It Sounds?’ Injazat, a Gold Sponsor of the Roadshow represented by Martyn Lowrey-English Injazat’s Head of IT Operations, explained how businesses should set aside their fears about cloud computing and look at the bigger picture.

As the owner of the Middle East’s first Tier IV design-certified data center and a leader in managed IT services, Injazat has given its firm commitment to supporting the growth of cloud computing as a business enabler for the region.

“Nowadays, cloud computing is not just being tapped to enhance business performance; it is emerging as a key enabler for any organization to respond to the dynamic market place with agility. While there may be some hesitancy to adopt a relatively fledgling technology, the benefits of cloud services outweigh concerns, and companies will need to adopt it if they want to meet evolving client trends and needs.,” said Ibrahim Lari, CEO, Injazat Data Systems.

A recent survey by international marketing research company IDC reveals that although 73 per cent of polled Middle East and Africa decision makers acknowledge that cloud offers significant tangible benefits, 68 per cent see the technology as being immature. As a staunch supporter of cloud computing, Injazat aims to generate greater interest in the technology among corporates and government entities. The company has been a regular supporter of the annual IDC Cloud Computing and Datacenter Roadshow and has emerged as a leading cloud computing enabler in the UAE.
