Info2cell.com, the leading mobile service application provider in the Middle East, has expressed confidence in marking a stronger market presence across Jordan with the planned roll out of new mobile apps specifically developed for the country’s rapidly growing mobile subscriber base. Info2cell.com’s move to launch a new range of apps and services complements a recent report from Business Monitor International which shows that the country’s mobile penetration rate is expected to reach 133 per cent by the year 2015.
Info2cell.com has revealed that the company has invested heavily in the development of a new range of tailor made apps and solutions to meet the demands of Jordanian subscribers. In fact, the mobile services provider is currently working on new technologies that will give users a more satisfying viewing experience when video streaming from their phones. An example of the new apps being introduced to Jordanian subscribers is the recently launched ‘For Woman’ application, which caters to female iPhone users. The engaging new app is a health and lifestyle software designed with a calendar and a status bar. It features predictive tools for planning day-to-day activities and special events.
Bashar Al Dahabra, Founder and CEO, Info2cell.com, said, “These are exciting times for Jordan’s mobile market, which is growing at a rapid pace. The increase in subscribers is also being accompanied with the demand for more apps and services that can best fit their lifestyles. Aiming to address this demand, we are now looking to develop strategic apps, services and solutions that will be entertaining, informative and highly useful to subscribers. We will also continue to remain steadfast in our aim to provide our customers with world-class services, thereby strengthening our presence across the Middle East region in general and Jordan in particular.”
The BMI report entitled ‘Jordan Telecommunications Report Q1 2012,’ points out that 3G networks demonstrated an increased awareness of social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook and video streaming sites like Youtube. BMI predicts Jordan's 3G market to account for up to 25 per cent of total mobile subscriptions by 2015. The report also shows that Jordan's mobile market grew by 7.1 per cent Year-on-Year (YoY) growth to reach 6.964 million subscribers in 2010, reflecting a market penetration of 114 per cent.
