Nawras Gives More Value To Roaming BlackBerry Customers

Published May 24, 2012

Nawras, Oman’s customer friendly communications provider, is delighted to announce extra value for Nawras Ajel BlackBerry customers when roaming abroad. Customers using the National Plan (for 19 Omani Rials monthly) will now receive 10 MB of free data for roaming in the GCC with SmartRoamer operators while customers on the Global Plan (29 Oman Rials monthly) can now enjoy a greatly increased quota from 15 MB to 60 MB of free data for international roaming, anywhere in the world.

Maha Al-Balushi, Nawras BlackBerry Specialist said, “From today, our BlackBerry National Plan customers can enjoy 10 MB of data roaming when travelling to the GCC and choosing a SmartRoamer operator. As an example, with this monthly quota customers will be able to send and receive approximately 1000 emails excluding attachments and also send and receive around 2000 BlackBerry Messenger Messages.”

Nawras has SmartRoamer agreements with partners across the GCC region including Etisalat in UAE, Qtel in Qatar, Batelco in Bahrain, STC Al Jawal and Mobily in Saudi Arabia and Wataniya in Kuwait. Choosing a SmartRoamer operator when travelling, gives Nawras customers preferential rates for local calls, international calls to Oman, SMS and data services.

Nawras BlackBerry Global Plan customers are also benefitting from greater value with today’s introduction of 300 per cent more data for international roaming without any increase in the monthly subscription. This extra value is on top of unlimited data usage for BlackBerry Messenger and emails in Oman, along with 2 GB of data for local browsing.

Customers can subscribe to any postpaid BlackBerry plan or check their usage by dialling *141#. Data usage can also be seen by sending a free SMS to 80045 with the keyword ‘usage’.

More information on the company’s pleasingly different range of services is available online by visiting www.nawras.om or by talking to the Sales Champions at any Nawras store.
