Jobs Abu Dhabi’s 3rd Virtual Career Fair To Provide Unique Recruiting Platform For Abu Dhabi’s Top Employers

Published May 27, 2012

The Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC) is rolling out the 3rd edition of the highly successful ‘Virtual Career Fair’ organized annually by its pioneering online employment initiative, Jobs Abu Dhabi (jobs.abudhabi.ae). Running from June 4 to 6, 2012, the fair will allow employers and recruiters to interact with candidates through chat, voice or video conferencing from the convenience of the internet. It saves valuable time and costs by not requiring the physical presence of potential employers and candidates. It also provides exceptional regional and global visibility to employers and sponsors alike.

The online virtual fair – accessible at http://efair.abudhabi.ae – provides employers with access to a powerful technology platform that enables them to choose a preferred virtual booth design and benefit from multimedia corporate branding. The fair connects with potential talents form the UAE and around the world and provides comprehensive reports and statistics on booth visits and applications. It also helps connect employers with UAE National jobseekers in particular who normally comprise over 30 per cent of efair visitors.

Last year’s edition was visible in 110 countries and gathered 30 employers who displayed 900 vacancies. During the previous three-day run, the virtual fair logged 60,000 visits, 16,000 submitted reviews and 250,000 page views. ADSIC expects higher figures this year due to the fair’s growing prominence and the emergence of new opportunities within the local and regional job markets.

“Jobs Abu Dhabi’s annual Virtual Career Fair offers an ideal platform for employers to find Abu Dhabi’s best talents in a convenient, highly accessible and informative online environment. Since the fair began in 2010 it has grown over two-fold and has become a preferred recruitment resource for industry leaders in Abu Dhabi and throughout the world. Organizations are also appreciating the effectiveness of the fair as a sponsorship vehicle where they can increase their regional and global visibility and interact with respected names in the private and public sectors. We expect one of the best editions ever this year given the excellent exhibitor lineup we have and the optimism being observed across the region’s employment landscape,” said Dr. Ahmed Al Hashimi, Project Manager at Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre.

Aside from providing fertile ground for recruiters and employers, Jobs Abu Dhabi’s Virtual Career Fair has emerged as a potent sponsorship vehicle. Interested parties can avail of three tiers of sponsorship packages to suit their particular needs and gain visibility among Jobs Abu Dhabi’s online base of 4 million visitors, 700 employers and 155 connected countries.

Jobs Abu Dhabi is an initiative under ADSIC’s e-Government program that provides jobseekers and employers with convenient access to a comprehensive online job market. It forms part of ADSIC’s mandate of overseeing Abu Dhabi’s IT agenda and ensuring that technology is used to modernize government services for key areas such as employment.

The portal also manifests ADSIC’s important contributions to the private sector. The advanced technologies, services and infrastructure planned and deployed under the Centre’s supervision have the potential to raise the efficiencies, cost effectiveness, competitiveness and customer reach of Abu Dhabi –based enterprises.
