Dubai Internet City Supports Click 6.0 for Third Consecutive Year

Dubai Internet City announced its support to ‘Click 6.0’, the digital marketing event that is a learning and networking platform for digital marketers, brand managers and online marketing strategists to help them engage online community through advanced digital marketing techniques to take their business beyond the conventional.

The event organised by IQPC, being held between 10-13 June at Grand Millenium, Dubai. Click 6.0 brought together experts to network and share best practices from local and international industry. The attendees included senior professionals from the industry including Marketing Directors, Chief Executive Officers and Chief Marketing Officers from large enterprises like Philips, Siemens, Jumeirah, Dubizzle and Cobone.

Malek Al Malek, Managing Director, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Outsource Zone, said: “The impact of digital tools and resources available in the region has influenced decision makers in planning out their company strategy and targeting their end users. This is mainly due to the easy access to technology and being able to adapt this in an enterprise environment.”

“Social media has also influenced decision making and planning out long term strategies for companies based in the region. They understand the impact and returns from the use of digital technologies and are already on that path. The high penetration of internet in UAE at 76 per cent is proof to the influence of technology in the country and the growth of digital platforms.”

Tanya Sydorenko, Conference Director at IQPC said: “Businesses today are taking their existing platforms to a new level of ROI. Brands want to use digital resources effectively by measuring online presence and leveraging innovations that leads to true business gains. Digital budgets are also increasing every year therefore pushing marketing to the next level.”

Customers can now explore how to incorporate e-commerce and social commerce to monetise online opportunities. Effective content can be generated for email, mobile and video marketing campaigns to deliver messages and increase conversion rates.”

Activities in social media will definitely see an increase this year with 81 per cent of enterprises in the Middle East expecting to increase investment. According to research insights from Econsultancy Middle East Digital consumer report, there is a still long way to go, however, as the research shows that over a third of companies (36 per cent) are at the experimental stages of interacting with social media, while another 33 per cent say they take part in an average amount of social media activity. Encouragingly, almost a fifth (19 per cent) report that they are heavily engaging with social media. The report also added that 98 per cent of consumers are using Facebook, 82 per cent of companies are using social network for marketing.
