HP Introduces The HP Photosmart A646 Compact Printer

HP introduced the HP Photosmart A646 Compact Printer as part of its new range of HP Photosmart TouchSmart printers launched in September.

This new range offers the whole family simple and fun photo printing, at their fingertips and without the need for a PC.

The HP Photosmart A646 Compact Printer makes it simple to view, edit, create and personalise photos without having to connect to a PC by combining an easy to navigate menu on the printer's HP TouchSmart control panel with an extra large TouchSmart screen.

Ideal for on the go photographers and busy parents, this portable and compact device also prints from Bluetooth enabled mobile phones, allowing users to print and share photos wherever they are.

Get creative

Using the HP TouchSmart control panel, users can easily caption their photos via the on screen keyboard or writing stylus and display slideshows at home or on the go.

With more than 300 creative elements to choose from including borders, clipart, album pages and photo captions the HP Photosmart A646 Compact Printer makes personalising and printing photos at home easy and fun.

Users can print images in whatever size they want right up to 13 x18 cm with or without borders. In addition, 30 editing and enhancing options from the HP Design Gallery, such as 'pet-eye' fix, 'slimming' feature, blemish removal and sepia tones, enable users to edit photos so friends and family look their best.

Freedom to print from wherever you are

The HP Photosmart A646 Compact Printer enables photos to be printed direct from Bluetooth enabled mobile phones.

Customers can also print direct from a memory card, PictBridge enabled cameras or USB pens, all without the need for a PC, creating the freedom to print however suits them best.

One touch

With just one touch, all pictures can be printed with ease.

Lab quality images and intense colour come as standard across the HP Photosmart series, allowing the whole family to share beautiful moments like never before.

Ease of use

The latest HP Photosmart printers offer class leading functionality but are also easy to set up and use. Key features include:

• HP Quick Connect self installing software saves time printing photos from a PC, by eliminating the need for a separate installation CD.

• Windows Live Photo Gallery for easy editing, storage and photo printing as well as options to make photo cards, calendars and more.

Printing with the environment in mind

Designed with the environment in mind, this ENERGY STAR qualified printer uses less energy and helps reduce the environmental impact of printing.

More than 32 per cent of the printer's body is made from recycled plastic material.

Through the HP Planet Partners programme, users can enjoy convenient and responsible ink cartridge recycling at no additional cost.

Memories can be preserved in rich, beautiful colour, using Original HP Inks and instant dry and smudge resistant HP Advanced Photo Paper.

New Look Packaging

Along with all HP supplies, the latest printers will feature a new package design with 'slick black' boxes, vibrant images and easy to reference icons that complement existing HP notebook and desktop packaging. This will help customers easily identify all HP products in retail outlets.
