du recently hosted a delegation from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai at its headquarters in Dubai Media City, as part of the telecom’s commitment to extending its expertise in various fields to the benefit of UAE institutions and the local community.
The delegation was led by the Woqayah team in the Directorate headed by Hessa Ahmed, in addition to the team members - First Lt.Walid Aqil, Warrent. Abdulmuttaleb Hashim, Noora Ayoob and Hind Al Souqi. They were met by Ahmed Aburahima, Vice President, Government Relations in du, accompanied by Abdulhadi Alalyak, Vice President, Asset Management and Corporate Administration in du.
Speaking of the occasion, Aburahima said: “We are very proud of the strong partnerships we have with government institutions in the UAE, particularly with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs. It was our pleasure to host the delegation at our headquarters, for a visit that proved a vital platform for us to share proficiencies and knowledge. It is always amongst our priorities to exchange experiences with various entities across the country, from both the public and private sector, for the good of the nation.”
During the visit, the delegation was introduced to du’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Compliance by Daxita Rajcoomar, HSE Compliance Manager, du. They were also briefed by Dr Mansoor Anwar, Director, Medical and Occupational Health Services, du, on how the telecom established its in-house clinic, and the programmes in place to ensure the well-being of all du employees.
Concluding the meeting, the Directorate representatives presented Aburahima with a trophy and certificates of appreciation.
