Published Jul 25, 2012

The UAE information technology company, Injazat Data Systems is supporting the Emirates Foundation for Youth Development’s ‘Takatof Ramadan Project 2012’ taking a sustained approach to helping people in need during the holy month.

Over the past two years, the financial support of major civic-minded companies such as Injazat has been vital to Takatof’s Ramadan mission extending support to more than a thousand families.

In 2012 the programme will focus on the social dimension of this task, fostering the role of volunteers and promoting the culture of volunteering, while helping to clean up and renovate mosques and the homes of the less fortunate. Volunteers will also bring aid in the form of food coupons, school supplies, house appliances and Iftar meals to workers and needy families, the elderly, infirm and disadvantaged.

Programme volunteers will share families’ problems and discuss with them the most effective solutions to establishing a stronger family capable of building itself through saving and financial responsibility.

Injazat, an industry leader in the region for information technology and data centre services, engages in socially-relevant activities throughout the year to take responsibility for its actions and make a positive impact on the environment, its customers, employees and the community. It is actively involved in various social causes ranging from sports development to diabetes awareness.
The company’s support for Takatof Ramadan Project in 2012 reflects its commitment to social development and its unity with the community in applying the charitable dimensions of Islam.

“Injazat regards Ramadan as one of the best times of the year to fulfill our commitment to community service and social responsibility,” Injazat CEO Ibrahim Mohamed Lari said. “The Takatof Ramadan Project provides us with an ideal vehicle to give back to society and give hope to those who really need it.” Lari noted.

The Emirates Foundation for Youth Development is an independent philanthropic organization established by the Abu Dhabi Government in 2005. It uses venture philanthropy to help young people in the UAE achieve their full potential.
