Lenovo announced the ThinkCentre M62z, a 19-inch all-in-one (AIO) desktop PC designed to meet the needs of government, education and large enterprise customers. Equipped with 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processors and Lenovo’s Enhanced Experience 3.0 technology to speed up boot time, the budget-friendly AIO packs the power needed to help workers be even more productive. The slim ThinkCentre M62z also saves up to 65 percent desk space compared to traditional desktops and monitors and offers several mounting options, making it flexible enough to fit any workspace.
Commercial demand for AIO PCs, such as the ThinkPad M62z, continue to increase as enterprise customers adopt more space, cost and energy-efficient alternatives to traditional desktop and monitor combinations. According to analyst firm IDC, worldwide demand for AIO desktops increased at a rate of 35.5 percent year-over-year from 2011 to 2012. IDC also expects AIO worldwide shipments to increase by 14.7 percent from 2010 – 2015, thanks to the desktops’ sleek designs and competitive pricing.
Power for Productivity
The Windows 8-ready ThinkCentre M62z provides a powerful computing experience with choices of up to 3rd generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processors. Lenovo’s Enhanced Experience 3.0 (EE3) enables the M62z to boot in less than 23 seconds, allowing users to quickly get started with their day. For increased productivity, the AIO also features six USB ports and up to 1TB HDD storage, while Intel® HD Graphics and the included USB-to-DVI monitor adaptor makes it easy for workers to add multiple high-resolution monitors to their workspace.
Optimized Work Experience
The ThinkCentre M62z design offers several mounting options to suit different workspaces, from desks and conference rooms to collaborative work environments. With the VESA mount, users can place the AIO on a wall or off an arm stand to save desk space, or they can utilize an optional monitor stand for up-close, detailed use. The M62z also offers a variety of optional accessories that allow customers to customize the PC according to their specific preferences, including a wireless, fingerprint or smartcard keyboard; USB portable secure hard drive; and laser mouse.
Commitment to Environmental Energy Efficiency
The ThinkCentre M62z highlights Lenovo’s commitment to environmental energy efficiency with features including real-time power consumption detection so users know exactly how much energy they are using. The PC meets EuP 2013 energy efficiency requirements and supports Cisco EnergyWise, and has also earned an EnergyStar® 5 rating and GREENGUARD Certification.
Pricing and Availability
The ThinkCentre M62z all-in-one (AIO) desktop PC is available now through Lenovo business partners and www.lenovo.com. Pricing for the models starts at $549 - $749.
