BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations and LED monitor expert, has expanded its line of monitors in the Middle East with the launch of its new GW Series VA LED in Dubai.
The new GW Series features ground-breaking VA LED visual sophistication offering excellent visual experience to users. The monitors are also aesthetically designed bringing harmony and balance to contemporary décor with perfectly layered visual elements complementing their boldly sculptured countenance and a front bezel textured to sooth eyes. It also displays contents with brightest whites, deepest blacks, colors, ultra high contrast and sharper details.
“VA panels are predicted to have a 42% share in 2012, surpassing TN-Wide View Film, IPS/FFS and traditional TN panels, and a 42.5% growth in shipment by 2015. This tells us there is an increasing need for VA display around the world, and we have made the decision to fulfill it,” said Manish Bakshi, Managing Director of BenQ for the Middle East and Africa, said. “By expanding our VA selection with the launch of the 2012 GW Series, we’re offering our valued customers a wide array of choices for business and personal entertainment use with display sizes that range from 21.5-inch to 27-inch.”
Among the key product features of the GW Series include 5000:1 Ultra High Native Contrast adding astonishing color depth and definition to darkened, complex images with better subtlety and clarity; and True 8-bit Color Performance rendering a total of 16.7 million color shades with interpolated 24-bit true color to deliver smoother and more stable transitions from one color to the next. The GW Series leverages Frame Rate Control (RFC), or dithering, allowing a 6-bit panel to achieve a similar range of color shades, the number of true colors that it can render is merely 2 percent of that of an 8-bit panel.
The new series also have true blacks and minimized light leakage, wide-angle viewing and LED backlight. The new line includes three different models with different connectors: GW (D-Sub; DVI-D); GW/M (D-Sub; DVI-D; Line-In; Headphone Jack); GW/HM (D-Sub; DVI-D; Line-In; Headphone Jack; HDMI). Each of these models is Microsoft® Windows 7 certified for full compatibility with Windows 7 color system, with the GW/M and GW/HM models are also equipped with built-in speakers with all the models
Bakshi added that, “with the full support of the company’s partner AU Optronics (AUO), BenQ expanded its VA LED display leadership in 2011 with a continually evolving line of award-winning VA LED monitors, from EW Series to the BL Series. Through the launch of the new GW Series models, BenQ aims to become the first-class visual enjoyment provider for everyone.”
