Published Sep 9, 2012

Leading Mobile Satellite Services operator, Thuraya Telecommunications Company today announced the launch of a new “Try and Buy” promotion specifically addressing the Media industry. Working with its service partners, the Company will provide its innovative Thuraya IP terminals on a trial basis to customers who sign up for a one year Share Plan airtime agreement.

Thuraya’s Vice President of Marketing, T. Sanford Jewett says, “Thuraya is excited to unveil this promotion which provides Media organizations across the world with access to our market-leading Thuraya IP terminals without the need for upfront capital expenditure.” Mr. Jewett adds “Thuraya has listened to our Media customers who are looking in today’s dynamic environment to rapidly deploy high performance, cost-effective Media solutions that allow them to efficiently deliver the news to their global audiences.”

Thuraya IP is a portable, powerful satellite modem. Thuraya MediaComms is comprised of a reliable satellite network, the industry’s smallest and most durable IP modem, and a powerful range of video compression solutions, thus enabling news gathering teams to deliver breaking stories quickly, efficiently and with confidence, from even the most remote locations.
