ESET Appoints Ralf Tegethoff as the New Director of Consumer Sales EMEA

Published Sep 16, 2012

ESET, the leader in proactive protection celebrating 25 years of its technology this year, announces that Ralf Tegethoff is joining its fast-growing global sales and marketing team as the Director of Consumer Sales for the region of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Ralf brings to ESET more than a decade of management experience in building-up companies especially in the B2C segment in EMEA.

Prior to joining ESET Ralf worked for the AV vendor Kaspersky Labs for almost seven years, developing retail and online consumer markets in Europe. He was also actively participating in the strategic business planning for Kaspersky Labs worldwide. But Ralf’s business career reaches well into the 90’s, with managerial positions in a variety of technology companies.

“I am proud to welcome Ralf on board of our talented EMEA and global sales & marketing team. His experience, expertise and character make him the perfect pick for our company and I am sure his presence will help us to maximize the outcome of our activities in the consumer markets within EMEA region,“ says Ignacio Sbampato, ESET Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.

“I am happy to be joining a technology company with such an outstanding reputation as ESET. I am looking forward to working with the team to achieve even greater successes in the business of protecting people,” says the new ESET Director of Consumer Sales EMEA, Ralf Tegethoff. “I hope I will spare some time to play tennis or watch football with my new colleagues as well – sports that I love so much,” adds Ralf on a lighter note.

Ralf Tegethoff is the second high-profile AV-industry professional to join ESET in the past few months. In February, Righard Zwienenbertg – former Chief Research Officer at Norman – joined the company as a Senior Research Fellow.
