Fortune smiled on an Emirati national, for a second consecutive week, as he was declared as the fifth lucky millionaire by Etisalat in the ongoing Etisalat 24 Millionaires campaign.
Ahmad Ismail Mohammad, a cashier working in Al Fujairah court, is the second Emirati who won the raffle draw for AED 1 million.
The sixth lucky millionaire was Ghareb Dakruni, an Egyptian power technician, who lives in Ajman and works for a marine company in Um al Quain.
Etisalat had announced the ‘24 Millionaires’ mega promotion that provides an incredible opportunity to 24 lucky customers to win AED 24 million.
Two lucky customers, recharging their Wasel accounts during the promotion, are selected every week to win AED 2 Million, through an electronic raffle draw that is conducted in the presence of a senior member from Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce. The promotion will be continuing till 14th November 2009.
Ahmad Ismail couldn’t believe his luck when he received the SMS and calls from Etisalat.
“This is indeed a blessing I have received from my God through Etisalat. A day before I got the fortunate call, I was so tense and stressed due to my financial condition that I couldn’t even finish my prayers at the mosque. I came back home without finishing my prayers and sat alone in my house for two hours, continuously begging God to help me solve my financial troubles. I owe a lot of money to people, and with Eid on the anvil, the financial pressure was building up. I felt so helpless, and frustrated that I was not able not keep my financial commitments. And the very next day, I got this miraculous call from Etisalat. It just seems so destined. God heard my prayers and made Etisalat His messenger to bail me out of my financial troubles. It is simply unbelievable. I can only thank God and Etisalat for this generosity,” he exclaimed.
“I work as a cashier and have seen and handled a lot of money in my life. But this time the money I will be getting to manage will belong to me. It’s such a wonderful feeling,” he added.
Ghareb Dakruni, the second lucky millionaire also narrated a similar miraculous story. “I owe AED 250,000 to my creditors. I have a huge family and my meager salary is not enough to support my family. I have been working overtime and doing extra work to make more money to support them. When I got a call from Etisalat, I simply froze. Suddenly, in a split second my financial troubles vanished and my dreams seemed so close to becoming a reality. I couldn’t sleep the whole night and only believed my good luck only when I met the Etisalat officials next morning”.
“I had recharged my Wasel to get the extra international credit to talk to my family in Egypt, but I never thought I could become a millionaire! I have had good fortune earlier. I keep winning little sweepstakes often. But this time luck didn’t smile at me, it laughed and I am so happy,” he added.
Customers still have a chance to participate in the ongoing promotion by recharging their Wasel accounts.
Besides the chance to become millionaires, customers will also benefit from additional free credit on each Wasel recharge that can be used for all calls and SMS (local & international).
In addition, new Wasel customers or customers renewing their Wasel accounts will get 100% cash back credited to their account.
Customers can also gain additional chances to participate in the weekly draw, depending on the recharge amount.
A higher recharge denomination will ensure more entries in the weekly draw as follows:
• Recharging by AED 25 till 49, gets 1 chance in the draw.
• Recharging by AED 50 till 99, gets 3 chances in the draw.
• Recharging by AED 100 till 199, gets 6 chances in the draw.
