Focus Softnet and Rosoft Form Strategic Business Alliance To Offer One-stop-solutions For The SMB segment

Published Sep 23, 2012

Focus Softnet, a leading software development company, announced that they have signed a strategic partnership with Rosoft, an IT services and consultancy company. This strategic business alliance would exclusively cater to the Indian SME sector and jointly offer clients a one – stop – solution for all their IT needs ranging from E- business services such as Static Website, e-Comm Shopping Carts, Inventory Based Online Shopping, Mobile Applications, SEO/ SMO, Social Media Marketing and end-to-end business process re-engineering services complete with a robust ERP package developed by Focus.

What makes the association 'a one-of-its kind' is the ability to offer Business Process Re-engineering, e- Business plus ERP services to the clients at a price affordable to the SME segment, with a vision of “Empowering the Indian SME sector to build a more comprehensive business ecosystem”.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. T.S. Bhattacharya, Chairman, Rosoft said, “Our vision is to make our own Indian business partner strong enough to compete with Global players and I am sure the business intelligence of Rosoft and Focus Softnet at affordable prices will boost the SME’s growth in India”.

Mr. Ali Hyder, CEO, Focus Softnet added, “The SME segment has become a major contributor to the Indian economy. Focus Softnet has been instrumental in automating SMEs for the past 20 years with innovative technologies and continuous R & D to deliver state-of-the-art applications. Each SME business is unique and requires a customized solution catering to their requirements. By partnering with Rosoft, we are offering the large SME segment in India a wide range of cost-effective IT solutions to help them grow their business seamlessly.”

The Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) form the backbone of the modern day Indian economy. With a contribution of 45% of industrial output, 40% of export and 22% of GDP (estd 2012), the SME sector today is one of the most thriving business segments. The sector currently employs over 60 million people and with over 12 million poised to join over the next 3 years, the importance of the sector to the nation cannot be over emphasized.

Typically an SME business in India is a 1st, 2nd or 3rd generation entrepreneurship with a legacy passed on from generation to generation. Each business in the SME space is unique in its own way with its own set of operating practices, systems and processes, management styles and thought process. It is this divergence that makes the segment so vibrant and dynamic, and yet, challenging to cater to. In this challenge lies the opportunity to cater to the vast and untapped SME segment of India, one which Rosoft and Focus have joined hands to address.

Today India is in the ‘digital age’ with ever increasing mobile and internet penetration; the biggest and the most effective vehicle for Growth is to effectively use the ‘online space’. It is common knowledge, the wonders an ‘online business model’ can create, and it is even more so applicable for an SME, who has the right aspirations, business model and resources, and all that it needs is to leverage technology as an enabler to break the ‘Ceiling of Complexity’ and continue its growth momentum. It is in this E-business space Rosoft brings to the table its wide range of services.

The Business Process Re-engineering services is essentially an X-ray of any organization’s processes to understand their particular technology needs and address the same through the implementation of a suitable ERP package. Effective implementation of the ERP software and systems was till recently, only done by MNCs and large corporates, with the big boys controlling the reins of the ERP market in India. However, with the surge in the Indian economy, the demand for ERP solutions is continuously increasing from SME enterprises.

Currently, most of the successful ERP products available in the market are international, customized to suit Indian markets. Focus, however provides a robust ERP, ‘Made in India’, ‘For India’ and ‘By an Indian Company’ specifically designed to cater to the SME segment and completely customizable for international markets. With over 30,000 successful implementations globally and presence across India, Middle East and Far East, Focus has been a one of the pioneers in the Indian ERP space with ‘Best – in Class’ features and modules to cater to end-to-end business processes across functions and needless to mention, well within the SME budget.

Today mid-sized organizations across various industries in the SME space are realizing the significance of an ERP investment in business. However, SMEs look for solutions that require minimal capital and infrastructure investments, low total cost of ownership (TCO) including the costs of future upgrades, simpler and cost effective implementation and most importantly the ‘last leg’ service, which has often been a challenge for large international solution providers in the market.

Rosoft and Focus Softnet’s Strategic Business alliance will create a platform that will ensure best possible IT Business solutions available for SMEs at an affordable price and become an integral part of SMEs growth in India.
