du CEO Osman Sultan named Innovator of the Year at Gulf Business Industry Awards

Osman Sultan, CEO, du, was named ‘Innovator of the Year’ at the Gulf Business Industry Awards, held on 24 September at Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai. Receiving the award is a recognition of the visionary approach Sultan has taken to leading du forward since its inception, which has led to the capture of a 46,5% market share amongst other achievements.
“It is an honour to have been selected as the Innovator of the Year. I would like to thank Gulf Business and the judging panel for bestowing this honour upon me,” said Osman Sultan, CEO, du. “Innovation is, I believe, the only way forward in today’s market. We have to innovate to come up with new, more suitable solutions that are tailored to our customers’ needs, because the traditional ‘one size fits all’ approach is no longer applicable. We all want products to better meet our needs and provide us with more value than ever before, and that is exactly the thinking that I encourage amongst my colleagues.”
The Gulf Business Industry Awards were judged independently by the Gulf Business team and a specially selected panel, including Peter Cooper, editor and publisher of ArabianMoney.net; Ibrahim Al Ansari, CEO of Dubai First; Husam Hourani, managing partner at Al Tamimi, and Y.S Shashidhar, Managing Direction of Frost and Sullivan’s business in the Middle East and North Africa.
