Acer Expands its Windows 8 Upgrade Refund Promotion!

Acer believes that its customers should have access to, and benefit from, the latest technology, which is why Acer has been an active partner in promoting the official Microsoft Windows 8 Upgrade program. In addition to this program, in June, Acer introduced a unique promotion, offering to refund the cost of the official online Microsoft Windows 8 Upgrade, on all Acer Ultrabook™ purchased between 2nd June 2012 and 31st January 2013.
Acer is pleased to announce that this offer has been expanded to include selected Notebooks and Desktops. Specifically, the promotion will now include Acer Aspire Notebooks, Acer Aspire Desktops originally supplied with Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate. It will also include Acer TravelMate Notebooks and Veriton Desktops that were originally supplied with Windows 7 Home Basic or Windows 7 Home Premium. This part of the promotion is valid for eligible products purchased between 1 Oct 2012 and 31 January 2013.The special promotion is also valid during GITEX Shopper Week for eligible purchases made from our retails partners at the show from 29 September 2012.
Acer has set up a dedicated webpage to guide customers through the promotion (www.acer.com/windows8upgrade). The promotion offers to refund the customer for the cost of the official Microsoft Online Upgrade, so once customers have completed the online Microsoft Upgrade, they should visit www.acer.com/windows8upgrade and follow the link to the claim page. Here the customer will be asked to provide information to confirm they have completed the Microsoft Upgrade Program and to identify themselves and their product. Once this has been verified and the customer has met the requirements, Acer will then refund the customer for the online cost of the Microsoft Upgrade Process. Acer will be promoting all of these offers on Acer local websites, in retail stores and on the websites of our retail partners to ensure all of our customers are aware and able to take advantage. The promotion will be offered in the following countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa: Austria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, and Ukraine.
GITEX shoppers can look forward to several ‘value-for-money’ deals on many of Acer’s leading products, including Ultrabooks, as well as get a refund on upgrade to Windows 8. GITEX shopper, the most popular IT consumer event in the region runs from 29 September – 6 October 2012, at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
