Samsung Electronics To Award 50,000 Egyptian Pounds On The 28th September

Samsung, a market leader and award winning innovator in consumer electronics, along with their local partner Nahdet El Mahrousa (NM) are delighted to be holding the Samsung Real Dreams Awards ceremony on 28th September 2009.
The Samsung Real Dreams Awards will reward grant awards of total EGP 50,000 to 5 student groups based on their actual prototypes.
The selected project are expected to be the seed for new business start ups and other business projects that students could take on after graduation.
All projects will be evaluated on the project’s scientific value (innovation), feasibility,relevance, research methodology as well as presentation, teamwork.
Along with the prototype, a written essay on why the student group feels their project is significant and how they expect to benefit from the Samsung funding will be submitted.

The Samsung Real Dreams Awards is part of Samsung’s CSR initiative Samsung “Real Dreams” program.
Samsung “Real Dreams” program aims to increase economic activity in the African region by promoting job skills and preparing young people for successful, long term careers.
Prior to the awards, the participants will be narrowed down to 15 during an event held at the NM premises.
During the awards, held at the Markaz Eadad El Qada, the lucky 15 participants will gather for two awareness lectures on Intellectual Property Rights and Commercialization & Venture capitalism, before the announcement of the lucky 5 winning teams. Each team will win a 10,000 L.E grant award.
The Samsung Real Dreams Awards is a national campaign offering grant awards to engineering students based on their innovative prototypes that aim at utilizing research, development and innovation in tackling challenges facing the Egyptian industry.
