Canon Middle East Refreshes Laser A4 Range With Eight High-Quality i-SENSYS Devices

Published Oct 9, 2012

Canon Middle East has today refreshed its popular i-SENSYS range of imaging products with the launch of eight new devices. Comprising of two laser multi-functional device series, an entry-level laser printer and a high-end laser fax machine, the new range has evolved in line with customers’ requirements for flexible connectivity, enhanced document workflows and convenient usability.

Canon’s new i-SENSYS MF4700 and MF4800 series black-and-white multi-functional laser devices all feature network models with Wi-Fi connectivity, which enables the devices to be easily integrated into the workspace and shared between users in the office. Canon’s ‘Network Scan’ function allows users to print documents from and scan images directly to their PC.

Previously exclusive to Canon’s flagship i-SENSYS MFDs, the new MF4700 and MF4800 series now also offer one-touch solution keys that speed up scanning and copying workflows. Conveniently placed on the operation panel for easy access, the keys allow users to execute complex tasks such as network scanning or duplex copying with the touch of a single button.

Canon’s new i-SENSYS devices feature fast print speeds and Canon’s unique Quick First-Print (QFP) technology which dramatically reduces the waiting time when printing from sleep mode, with the new i-SENSYS devices producing first print out times from as little as 5.8 seconds (i-SENSYS MF4700 and MF4800 series).

The refreshed A4 range has been designed to enhance the user experience. The i-SENSYS MF4700 and MF4800 feature Canon’s new Quiet Mode enabling users to operate the device at a very low noise level – from only 45dB1 – at the touch of a button. All new i-SENSYS devices feature a compact and space saving design and can be easily stored on a desktop, even where space is at a premium. In addition, the MF4700 and MF4800 series have been fitted with a new 5-line LCD tilting panel that can be adjusted for use on a desktop, ensuring users can always view the display from an optimum angle.

Canon’s new i-SENSYS devices also support organisations in becoming more environmentally friendly by offering class-leading energy efficiency with a Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC)2 from as low as only 0.5 kWh per week (i-SENSYS LBP6020 and LBP6020B). In addition, the one-touch ‘Paper Save Copy’ function allows users to copy two or more pages to one sheet of paper, reducing the amount of paper needed in the office, which in turn reduces costs.

Hendrik Verbrugghe, Marketing Director, Canon Middle East comments, “We have seen an increasing demand from small and home offices up to corporate workgroups for reliable, high-quality black-and-white printing. With the launch of eight new i-SENSYS laser devices, Canon is refreshing its A4 portfolio to better meet these requirements while supporting organisations in becoming more productive, especially with the introduction of one-touch solution keys, which are novel in this class.”

The new i-SENSYS LBP6020 and LBP6020B entry-level black-and-white laser printers, designed for personal office users, are cost-effective devices that produce print speeds of 18 pages per minute and a print quality of 2,400 x 600 dpi. They come with Automatic Image Refinement, which enhances a document’s resolution for improved detail, sharp crisp text and smooth grey scales, ensuring professional quality prints are produced every time .

In addition, Canon has also launched a new Laser fax machine, i-SENSYS FAX-L410. Featuring a built-in handset, an intuitive 5-line LCD display and a 50-sheet auto duplex document feeder, the FAX-L410 caters to the needs of businesses where high-quality fax and print functionality is critical. Energy efficiency has been dramatically improved compared to its predecessor, the i-SENSYS FAX-L380 and FAX-L390, with consumption as low as 1.4Watts in sleep mode.
