Leading branding agency, Lambie-Nairn, has created a new visual identity for ITU Telecom World 2012, the influential platform for high-level networking, strategic debate and knowledge-sharing for the global ICT community.
ITU Telecom World 2012 is organized by ITU (International Telecommunication Union), the United Nations specialized agency for information and communication technologies.
The event takes place this year in Dubai for the first time from 14th – 18th October and signals ITU Telecom's ambition to provide an ongoing platform for ICT knowledge exchange between annual events. Lambie-Nairn was tasked with developing a brand strategy and visual identity fitting to
that aim.
The brand identity had to be consistent for the platform and able to cut-through in a crowded market, whilst being flexible enough to remain relevant to an evolving agenda.
Adrian Burton, Executive Creative Director at Lambie-Nairn says: “We identified that the ITU Telecom World global platform provides access to the debate and discussion that really concerns the global ICT community, effectively hosting ‘the 1 conversation that matters’. We went on to
develop the visual identity around the ‘1’ device, offering a flexible and differentiating system that can evolve as the ICT agenda develops."
Blaise Judja-Sato, Executive Manager of the Telecom Secretariat added: “We wanted to partner with a world class branding agency on this important event, who would help us pave the way for the future growth of our platform. We chose Lambie-Nairn as their understanding of branding coupled with their sector expertise is a perfect fit for ITU Telecom.”
The identity has been implemented across all marketing communications, event collateral and the branding of the event venue itself.
