ITWorx Marks the First Office 365 Nationwide Rollout in the Region

Published Oct 17, 2012

ITWorx, a global professional services organization and a leading expert in e-learning solutions, unveiled its successful first-of-a-kind, large scale deployment of Microsoft Office 365 in the region serving more than 100, 000 users across 100 schools in affiliation with one of the leading public sector education institutions in the Gulf. The outstanding delivery coincides with the conclusion of a sleek integration of Office 365 within the building blocks of the company’s flagship K12 e-learning platform; ITWorx CLG (Connected Learning Gateway).

ITWorx underscored a strategic precedence in helping one of the top governmental education institutions in the Gulf to roll-out a nationwide deployment of Office 365, the latest Microsoft communications and emailing cloud-based technology. To date, 71,664 Office 365 accounts have been activated, to reach 125,000 by the end of October 2012 and cover about 200 schools by the end of year.
ITWorx team registered and configured a unique, official domain name for the customer; provisioned about 108,000 user accounts and mailboxes for students and teachers and linked all this to customer’s e-learning system and infrastructure. Adding ample storage space (25GB) per user, the formula encourages increased email exchange, more collaboration and real-time academic contributions, and heightened document and information sharing in student-to-student, teacher-to-student, and teacher-to-teacher communications, helping to stimulate the pedagogical process across schools.

Hatem Sallam, ITWorx Education General Manager, says: “This engagement reaffirms our commitment to genuine education transformation. We promise our regional public sector customers exceptionally efficient and cost-effective cloud technology experiences that help in realizing their e-learning visions.”

It’s noteworthy that ITWorx was previously recognized as one of the few Microsoft Live@edu Partners around the globe and is now again leading the education community towards Office 365 adoption.

“ITWorx Education walks the walk! We started off by embedding Office 365 within the corners of CLG”, adds Sallam; “Today, this move puts CLG in a different league among the e-learning platform landscape; making it more social, communicative and collaborative.”
