CAIRO – Intel Corporation today announces the launch of the Intel® Software Partner Program in Egypt. Open to independent software vendors (ISVs) and any software company developing commercial applications for Intel Platforms and technologies, the program is free of charge and offers a portfolio of planning, technical, marketing and sales resources specially designed to facilitate a member’s ability to grow their business, reach new customers and stay on top of the latest software development, marketing and competitive trends.
The Intel Software Partner Program facilitates members to align their product development work directly with a range of Intel’s platform technologies such as Intel® “Core™ 2 processor based systems and Intel® Atom™ processor technology based mobile internet devices. Twenty market focus areas such as application development and deployment, collaborative solutions, enterprise resource management, financial services, gaming or healthcare information management are available to choose from and provide recommendation on which Intel technology is most applicable to this market focus area.
“Innovation requires the software and hardware communities to work together to deliver value for their customers,” said Scott Harrison, Global Director of Partner Program Organization, Intel Software and Solutions Group. “The Intel Software Partner Program represents a further step by Intel to invest and foster innovation in the software community on Intel technology. By providing local software companies of all sizes the opportunity to access task-specific tools to plan, enable and promote their solution on an Intel platform, we accelerate the adoption of innovative solutions that drive further benefits and opportunities for customers.”
“Being part of the Intel® Software Partner Program has given us the opportunity to test and utilize the latest platforms and technologies, enabling us to leverage experiences, know-how and expertise within our field,” said Hanan Abdel Meguid, CEO of LINK Development. “Running on Intel infrastructure, our Arabic search engine Onkosh.com has been able to achieve a consistently high performance level since its launch.”
Members of the Intel Software Partner Program have access to a variety of benefits starting with tools to help them plan their applications such as business insight training and Intel technology roadmaps, as well as a wealth of tools that can speed up their software design process. Members can also take advantage of benefits that help them to market and sell their solutions such as logos and brand assets, co-marketing campaigns, and access to the Intel® Software Products Directory which allows them to showcase their application. By participating in the Intel® Business Exchange, software vendors will gain access to an online marketplace where small and medium business buyers can search, select and acquire proven software and solutions leading to the growth of their business.
“mCGlobal’s exciting new product, m-Currency, is a payment gateway, information and advertising solution,” explains Edward Disley, Global Project Director of mCGlobal, “With our service mainly being consumer driven, with huge exposure to the market, and being in the technology nature, it made sense for us to approach Intel to build on their experience and knowledge base.
