Sourcefire To Discus Agile Security For The Real World At PCI Abu Dhabi 2012

Published Nov 20, 2012

Sourcefire, Inc., a leader in intelligent cybersecurity solutions, announced that it will present on ‘Agile Security For The Real World’ at the PCI Abu Dhabi on November 23, 2012 at the Rocco Forte Hotel, Abu Dhabi. Maher Jadallah, Regional Manager for the MEA region at Sourcefire, will highlight the importance of adopting an Agile Security approach to address today’s dynamic threat environments.

“With today’s complex and dynamically changing network environments, customers require comprehensive protection to support evolving security needs,” said Maher Jadallah, Regional Manager, MEA, for Sourcefire. “PCI Abu Dhabi, is an optimal forum for us to share Sourcefire’s vision on Agile Security with organizations in the region. Through our presentation, we will illustrate how Agile Security can help IT managers gain greater visibility and control to help prevent and minimize potential damage before, during and after the threat.”

Agile Security addresses today's dynamic threat environment through a continuous process that integrates four essential tenets, which are:
• See. Traditional security solutions are mostly blind to their environment and the threats they face. An agile approach provides clarity and vision, reflecting the reality of an environment, as it exists right now.
• Learn. Applies intelligence to data to improve understanding and decision-making.
• Adapt. Static approaches limit the ability to tailor protection. Agile Security allows automatic evolution and modification of defenses in response to change.
• Act. Agile Security provides decisive, flexible and automated responses to events.

PCI Abu Dhabi 2012, a part of the PCI Global Series, is designed to provide participants with insights and information on solutions that can help minimise complexity, reduce risk, create value and keep costs low. The event will offer participants strategic and technical advice, examples of best practice and practical case studies.
