Haier Reaffirms Industry Leadership With Debut Of 3D LED Android AppTVs

Haier, the number one major home appliances brand in the world, has officially announced today (26th of November), the launch of its latest 3D LED Android AppTV models in the UAE. The company has revealed that these new models will be available across the country starting November 30, 2012. The TVs feature Haier’s No-flicker 3D technology, bringing an unbelievable immersive viewing experience to enjoy a world of 3D entertainment comfortably with outstanding picture quality, amazing depth, brilliant colours and loads of possibilities. With brighter colour, super high contrast ratio and a wider viewing angle, 3D movies look more clear and vivid from anywhere in the living room. In addition, the models come with Haier's 3D glasses, which do not need batteries, making them more featherweight and convenient than conventional 3D glasses.

Haier 3D LED Android AppTVs turn the television into an interactive fusion of friends, music and movies--all with the touch of a button to connect to an expanding offering of Apps to stream movies, music and entertainment. The web browser has been optimized to make the Net on the big screen more enjoyable to watch TV or go online without switching on the PC. Also, Android’s vast, and growing, library of web-connected TV apps, unleashes the true potential of the Haier 3D LED Android AppTV to enjoy a host of Apps for news, access to favorite movies and TV shows, games and more. There are currently hundreds of Apps with new ones being developed constantly.

Haier 3D LED Android AppTVs are Wi-Fi certified—offering advanced Wi-Fi for next-gen applications and online connectivity (Internet and Internet TV) without the use of a net cable. This feature also includes use of a full web browser, which allows users to stream movies, videos, music and podcasts and also play interactive games offered online. The TVs are also DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) certified for sharing media wirelessly across your DLNA enabled digital devices for a richer, seamless digital experience.

Apps can be continuously added, updated or deleted at your will. In addition, the TVs have DDR2 512 MB of RAM and flash memory of 4 GB, a Mali 400 3D GPU, powered by the Android 2.3 OS. Other features include USB 2.0, SD card external storage, Multi language OSD, local (VIDEO/MUSIC/PICTURE) media playback, internet media playback over HTTP, 3rd party app market and easy apps and widget installation.

Haier 3D LED Android AppTVs will be available in leading hypermarkets and consumer electronic stores across the UAE and are priced at AED 1,699 and AED 2,699 respectively.
