Axtrom Signs Distribution Agreement with BDL Group

Published Dec 20, 2012

Axtrom, the leading developer of tablets, peripherals and accessories, announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with BDL Group for the Gulf region. According to the terms of the agreement, BDL Group will distribute Axtrom’s tablet PCs, better known by the brand name AXPAD, through its strong distribution network of resellers, IT dealers and retailers across the region.

“Our AXPAD range of tablet PCs has been receiving a great response from the regional market. Customers looking for high performance quality tablets at affordable prices have shown tremendous interest in the AXPAD, which is priced at under $100,” says Mr. Mohamed Samy, Business Development Director, Axtrom.

“Looking at the market demand, we wanted to ensure that our products are easily available and hence we were looking for an established distributor to help expand our reach. BDL Group, being a leading IT distribution company in the region with excellent market knowledge, expertise and a solid channel network was a perfect partner to distribute the AXPAD across the GCC region. We are looking forward to working closely with their team to help increase the market share for AXPAD in the region.” Mr. Samy adds.

Currently, Axtrom has three models of AXPAD PCs and plans to expand its range by adding several new models to its portfolio within the next few weeks. BDL will work closely with its channel to work out marketing plans and promotions in the region. BDL plans to sign on new power retailers including hypermarkets to promote the AXPAD to a wider customer base.

“BDL is focused on bringing high quality, innovative products to our channel and customers and Axtrom is a good addition to our strong portfolio of products,” says Mr. Hany Abdul Monim, General Manager, BDL Group. “Initially, we will concentrate only on their AXPAD range and later on extend our agreement to other products as well. The AXPAD is a great ‘value for money’ product and we are confident it will be well received by our customers and channel partners. We look forward to working closely with Axtrom to grow AXPAD’s market share in the tablet PC segment in the region.”
