Epicor Recognized as a Leader in the Nucleus Research ERP Value Matrix

Published Dec 24, 2012

Epicor Software Corporation, a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, today announced it has been positioned by Nucleus Research in the “Leader” quadrant of the 2012 second half Technology Value Matrix for ERP vendors based on evaluation of its next-generation Epicor enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution.
"The new Epicor ERP solution has been built on service oriented architecture (SOA), using
Microsoft® .NET technologies which, along with its embedded tools, provides for a flexible and extensible ERP system. Its more than 70 integrated modules provide functionality for manufacturing, distribution, retail, hospitality and services companies," said Gabriel Gheorghiu, principal analyst, Nucleus Research.

Epicor ERP is a new breed of solution designed to offer extensive usability and agility in support of application-to-application integration and business-to-business collaboration, key to enabling the delivery of information throughout the enterprise. Built on the Epicor ICE Business Architecture, the innovative business architecture supports multi‐tenant Software as a Service (SaaS) deployments of Epicor ERP. Epicor delivers the same solution on-premise or in cloud, in both the single-tenant and multi-tenant SaaS model for small to large manufacturers and distributors.

“Our positioning as a leader reflects our dedication to developing business solutions that enhance everyday operations and inspire new levels of success for our customers,” said Malcolm Fox, vice president, product marketing at Epicor. ““Epicor ERP continues to enable business to maximize productivity and drive agile, effective operations,”

According to Nucleus Research, vendors in the “Leader” quadrant have invested in both functionality and usability features that are likely to deliver the greatest potential returns. Epicor was ranked in the “Leader” quadrant among other vendors including Infor, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Plex Systems, Sage and SAP.
