Dubai Based Company launches Worldwide 3D Print Technology Products

Published Jan 21, 2013

Following the successful launch of TIM in April 2012, PRECISE has further developed the advanced 3D printing technology to produce TIMbust and TIMpic.

TIMbust uses similar technology to TIM, but captures the individual in a head & shoulders bust format rather than a full size model. For TIM and TIMbust, the person needs to be present in the studio for the digital imaging to take place, but PRECISE has further developed the technology to allow 3D reproduction from a digital photograph supplied by the customer for TIMpic.

All three TIM products appeal to the end consumer and retail market, preserving special moments in a very personalized gift format, and are available from PRECISE retail outlets throughout the UAE.

PRECISE has also developed reseller partnership opportunities offering them products with multiple revenue streams, whilst maximizing existing investment in retail space and staff.

PRECISE Managing Director, Lothar Hohmann commented:

“A TIM business is very simple to set up and operate, with the scanning undertaken by the Reseller at his retail outlet and the actual production by PRECISE at our Dubai headquarters. Our team trains Reseller employees on calibration and operation of the scanning equipment, which the Reseller purchases from PRECISE. The outlet then sends the scan data to the PRECISE team of highly skilled 3D modelers in Dubai, who process the information, create each unique TIM product, and finally ship the finished gift back to the Reseller.

Interest in the TIM business model has come from theme parks, airports and duty free shops, retailers specializing in personalization products, sports arenas and may other sources. We are delighted to have developed this technology right here in Dubai, and to be exporting it to the world from our home base at Dubai Investment Park.”

Hohmann continued “whilst there are various exciting 3D printing applications being developed around the world, PRECISE is the first to offer competitively priced technology ready as a turnkey retail product for use worldwide.”

PRECISE continues to develop both the 3D printing services to cater for growing demand in various fields such as architecture, medical and soon in the jewelry field. Investing considerable time in R&D, PRECISE anticipates being able to offer previously unseen 3D printing solutions for a wide range of unique applications in the near future.
