Symantec Offers Partners 3% Rebate On Sales

Published Sep 28, 2009
Symantec is offering rebates of up to 3% for partners making small business sales as part of a new channel programme it is rolling out.

The EMEA wide Small Business Specialisation initiative will be introduced for Symantec partners that are already qualified at silver level and above, and which have expertise in the SMB market.

The security software vendor is promising partners that further training will be made available, and resellers will be rewarded for developing in depth knowledge of its small business offerings.

Partners can earn up to a 3% volume incentive rebate and gain access to additional partner marketing funds through the programme, according to the company.

“Recent research we undertook showed that four out of ten small businesses buy their threat protection off the shelf from retail outlets, so there is huge scope for the channel to step in and offer support, advice and products to this market,” said Andrew Douglas, VP of small business EMEA at Symantec.

“It’s vital that we are able to work with our partners to meet this need. The Small Business Specialisation is an important part of our drive to enable partners to better serves their customers,” concluded Douglas.

A number of Symantec products are eligible for the programme, including Endpoint Protection,

Antivirus, Protection Suite, Multi tier Protection, Backup Exec and Backup Exec System Recovery.
