EMC Corporation announced that La Cigale Hotel, a leading five star hotel based in Doha, Qatar has selected EMC Isilon as its storage solutions provider in deploying its IP CCTV surveillance system to provision security across the hotel’s expansive property. EMC’s Isilon scale-out NAS technology has been chosen to boost the agility and performance of the hotel’s CCTV systems.
EMC’s Isilon storage solutions are tested and certified with leading video management software (VMS) vendors at the EMC eLab, renowned for conducting rigorous interoperability testing. This ensures customers can focus on video surveillance and not the technology enabling it. The solution is designed to provide cost-effective, highly scalable nearline storage. The NL-Series combines high density and efficiency, with massive capacity capabilities and is an ideal data archive platform making it ideal for large video surveillance deployments.
With this implementation, La Cigale Hotel is one of the first five star hotels in Qatar to have successfully complied with recent Ministry of Interior regulations that mandate the use of a CCTV security network across business organizations in order to standardize security levels across the country. The luxury establishment aimed at deploying an innovative solution that offered simplified storage management and administration in addition to enhanced data performance and security.

As per the regulations, La Cigale Hotel successfully engaged in a thorough pre approval process to test the capabilities of the solution provided by EMC.
