Published Sep 28, 2009
Trend Micro, a global leader in Internet content security, has appointed Nick Black as the new technical manager for Trend Micro, Mediterranean Middle East and Africa.

With Trend Micro’s continued sales growth in the region, Black joins Trends Micro’s already robust team and will be responsible for developing and driving the vendor’s pre and post sales direct and indirect support, said a company statement.

“Nick joins a very strong Trend Micro team which has already established a commanding market presence,” commented Chris Moore, managing director, Trend Micro Med MEA.

“I am pleased to have someone with Nick’s experience, who I know will further ensure continued success for Trend Micro in this important market,” he noted.

"Our channel community remains instrumental in making our products widely available across the region. Only by empowering our partners can they provide quality service to our customers and to successfully combat web based attacks".

"We want our customers and partners to be 100 per cent satisfied with the services and products provided by Trend Micro," Black added.

Black brings a wealth of experience to his new post with more than 14 years of industry experience six years of which have been in the Middle East.

Also joining Trend Micro is Simon Carlson, a senior sales engineer.

Carlson’s priority will be to continue delivering Trend Micro’s value added security solutions to help protect Middle East organizations, the statement added.
